World Seabird Conference 4 – Call for Plenary Speakers

Nominations close on 5 December 2025

We’re excited to invite nominations for the Keynote Address at the Fourth World Seabird Conference (WSC4).

Plenary talks are the heartbeat of the conference – moments that spark ideas, inspire action, and bring our global seabird community together. We’re looking for speakers who can challenge us to think differently, share bold visions for the future of seabird and biodiversity conservation, and shine a light on new ways to work together for our oceans and wildlife.

We’re especially keen to hear from colleagues in Oceania, Latin America, and South-East Asia, and we warmly welcome nominations of early-career scientists with fresh perspectives to share.

WSC4 will take place in person from 7–11 September 2026 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, with an additional virtual day designed to make participation accessible to delegates around the world.

The World Seabird Conference brings together seabird scientists, conservationists, policymakers, students, and NGOs from over 50 countries. It’s a space for connection and collaboration – where ideas take flight, partnerships form, and collective action for seabirds and the planet moves forward.
