Seafood consumption is increasing globally, and as a result, fish stocks are becoming depleted worldwide. Seabirds must now compete with hooks and nets when foraging for their food. While this might suggest there’s less food, it’s not that simple; many fisheries catch tons of unwanted fish, which are then discarded, providing food for scavenging seabirds.
